It’s a little something extra that makes the pack stand out against the others and has had me playing the songs in it a little more constantly than the others in the game. As there doesn’t seem to be any intention to go back and add the new types of notes to older tracks, that means this is the only place you can get them aside from the included fifth volume of the OST for the game. Perhaps the biggest benefit of this new music pack is that it is the first one that has released since the addition of arc notes and chain notes to the game. We’re going Down Down in an Earlier Round The only real glaring omission that I could see was that Sugar, We’re Goin Down is nowhere to be seen. As a fan, I was pretty satisfied with the song choices, even if one of my personal favorites wasn’t included (though I know it’s an odd pick so I’m not surprised). There’s a decent amount of variety in the tracks that gives a fairly wide spread of their music from the eras it covers. However, this does mean that it still covers most of the essentials would would expect. It also lacks anything from the most recent album, Mania. It’s a pretty nice spread across most of their discography hitting every album except their first, Take This to your Grave, which could be due to licensing issues as it was the only one release under a different label than their current one. It’s about the same as what you would get for a similarly priced music pack, though it’s definitely not the biggest pack that has been offered up so far. The Fall Out Boy music pack features 8 songs in total: Centuries, Dance, Dance, I Don’t Care, Immortals, Irresistible, My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up), This Ain’t A Scene, It’s an Arms Race, and Thnks fr th Mmrs. I am well aware that PC VR platforms have the ability to have just about any song you like (and even the entirety of the first Shrek film), but for those playing on platforms where custom songs just aren’t available, just how is this new set of songs that’s been made available? Let the Music Play!
I’ll admit that I haven’t been keeping up with all the developments in the world of Beat Saber since I’ve had SO MANY other games occupying my time lately, but when I found out there was some new music dropping from what was my favorite band when I was in high school, I jumped on giving it a try just as fast as I jumped on the Linkin Park songs.
